About GRID esports:

At GRID esports we are building a data-ecosystem specifically designed for the esports industry. The GRID platform is designed to allow games publishers, teams and leagues to leverage official data assets through both B2B and fan-facing channels and does so through the
use of specialized technological approaches to building real-time esports data processing systems.


The job
GRID is looking to hire a student developer that works within a team that transforms raw data into fan-engaging statistics. In this process the team is working with external and internally developed API’s and databases and using Python to manipulate the data into a format desired by the clients of GRID Esports. The development cycle is short, which means you can work on a project and see it in action within a few weeks.

Requirements

  • You are a student studying computer science or within a similar field
  • You have strong coding experience in python
  • You have experience working with SQL
  • You have development experience working on a project with multiple different components 
  • You worked on a coding project as part of a team
  • You are motivated to learn and have strong problem-solving tasks

It is advantageous if you:

  • You have experience with the python library Pandas
  • Interested in and knowledge of esports such as CSGO, Dota, PUBG and League of Legends
  • The job is primarily a developer-role, but it is beneficial if you have experience working with statistical models and have a good mind for how to use data in creative ways
  • You are in Berlin. Working remote is, however, an option if other qualifications are met and surpassed and you can work within the CET timezone


Working hours:

It is expected that you can work around 20 hours per week. 


Compensation:

13 EUR an hour
